Attendees & check-in

For check-in at the entrance, iFestival needs to know who has a valid ticket. You can upload this list in two ways.

If you sell tickets on Eventbrite, you can automatically sync the list of buyers.

  1. Go to Studio → Attendees → Connect Eventbrite
  2. Enter your Eventbrite API Key
  3. Enter the Event ID of your event (found in the URL of the event page on Eventbrite)
  4. Click Sync

iFestival automatically downloads the list of buyers and updates it every 15 minutes. Eventbrite QR codes are recognized directly by the scanner.

If you use another ticketing system or have the list in an Excel file, you can import it manually.

Create a CSV file with these columns (in exact order):

first_name,last_name,email,ticket_code,ticket_type
Mario,Rossi,mario@email.com,TKT-001,Standard
Anna,Bianchi,anna@email.com,TKT-002,VIP
  • ticket_code must be unique for each attendee
  • ticket_type is optional but useful for distinguishing ticket types
  • The header (first row) is required
  1. Go to Studio → Attendees → Import CSV
  2. Drag the file or click to select it
  3. Verify the data preview
  4. Click Import

iFestival automatically generates a QR code for each attendee. You can send it by email to each one from the same screen.

Once attendees are imported, staff can check in with the iFestival scanner.

  • Eventbrite QR → recognized directly
  • iFestival-generated QR → always works
  • Duplicates → the system alerts if a QR has already been scanned

For instructions on how to use the scanner, see QR check-in.
